My favorite place to hear music: Alpine Valley Music Theatre
Probably one of my Top 5 favorite places to be overall in my life. I plan to be there at least once a year until no more bands I love perform at the venue. The reason why can be found in the description below.
What I like about it is that I’ve now seen six Dave Matthews Band shows at Alpine Valley and I’ve enjoyed every single one of them. The huge, grass seating hillside fills up with 40,000+ people for the shows and the whole area is surrounded by gorgeous forest-covered hillsides.
Best part is the fact that the parking lot right outside the theatre is basically just a gigantic party from 11:00 a.m. until the show starts at 8 or 9 o’ clock. Beanbags, grilling, beers, and everything else imaginable make the pre-concert party lot almost as fun as the concerts themselves (and equally as memorable).
If that’s not appealing to you, then I can definitely respect that, but if ANY part of that description sounds enjoyable in your mind, I’d give it a try as soon as you can. It’s a worthwhile summer trip, to say the least.
