After a drink or seven, I might sing these songs at a karaoke bar…

These are just some of the songs I’d sing at a karaoke bar. Alcohol would be preferred as performance inspiration, but I’d probably do all three sober if it really was the right opportunity. People might be shocked to know this, but I typically like attention, so performances of any/all of these songs are certainly not out of the question.

God Bless the U.S.A. by Lee Greenwood

A) Because I’ve done it before and B) Because, no matter how much people in the bar might not like it, it’s almost impossible not to sing along with the song anyway. Go America!

Jack’s Lament by The Nightmare Before Christmas

This is a song that I sing with full force at the top of my lungs in my car or house when I’m by myself. I’d probably have to sing it at a karaoke bar full of people who’ve actually seen the movie for it to go over well but I have no doubt I could pull it off, drunk or sober.

Hip Hop Saved My Life by Lupe Fiasco

I went with this one because I’ve performed it multiple times in front of small, personal audiences as well as in various mirrors and car driver’s seats. I also have yet to enjoy performing a song live more than I enjoy performing this Lupe instant classic.
